Christopher Campbell, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Certified PCIT Global Trainer, and the President of Parent Child Interaction Therapy, Inc.  Dr. Campbell completed his Bachelor’s Degrees in both Psychology and Biology at Colorado State University.

Dr. Campbell earned both his Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Clinical Psychology Training Program

In 2007, as a second-year doctoral student, Dr. Campbell started to provide in-home Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) services with Head Start families.  Dr. Campbell successfully created and piloted one of the first studies on Teacher Child Interaction Training (TCIT) in 2008.  In 2009, Dr. Campbell was awarded a grant by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (and the Maude Hammond Fling Fellowship at UNL) to continue to develop and deliver TCIT services.

Dr. Campbell completed his pre-doctoral internship at two postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  During his first postdoctoral fellowship, he was awarded an Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship (F32) by the National Institutes of Health’s Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.  The award provided Dr. Campbell with research funding to continue to develop and evaluate his Teacher Child Interaction Training – Comprehensive Program (TCIT-C) in additional Head Start Programs.

Dr. Campbell started training clinicians in Parent Child Interaction Therapy in 2011.  Currently, Dr. Campbell has conducted over 150 PCIT trainings with clinicians from all over the world.

In response to the pandemic, he assisted with the creation of two training options so that clinicians could continue to learn and utilize PCIT services with families in their community: (1) Virtual PCIT Training which is conducted live via Zoom; and (2) the increasingly popular online, self-paced PCIT Training.

In addition to PCIT training, Dr. Campbell continues to provide PCIT services with families.  He has experience delivering PCIT in all formats, including in-home PCIT services, within clinic (e.g., using an observation room, delivering PCIT within the same room), and telehealth (which is often referred to as iPCIT).

Dr. Campbell is the co-owner of the Oklahoma Children’s Psychological Assessment & Therapy Center. His primary focus is conducting PCIT and Autism Spectrum DisorderAttention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Psychoeducational, and Psychological evaluations.
